I have been using Alberto’s VO5 shampoo and conditioner since 2016. I used to use it very actively then, but now I use it passively because I have a very thick and tough black stretchy hair and I prefer to use shampoo and conditioners tailored for my hair type.

VO5 shampoo and conditioner are advised for use by people who just want to wash their hair and also maintain bouncy and shiny hair. For people with specific hair needs like people trying to get rid of dandruff, people with thicker and shorter hair, I don’t think this is advisable because it won’t give you what you want.

I have a friend from Syria who currently lives in Nigeria and he always complains that if he buys another hair shampoo and conditioner, it makes all his hair stand, but when he uses V05 shampoo and conditioner, his hair sleeps all through and he prefers the brand.

I think this product caters to people with soft silky hair than people with tougher hair types.
